To Kalon is a Greek phrase meaning ‘most beautiful,’ and visitors will quickly realize why the famous vineyard was given this name. To Kalon produces Napa Valley’s most sought-after and expensive Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The vineyard is home to several wineries, including Opus, Far Niente, and Silver Oak.

To Kalon’s most famous winemaker is Robert Mondavi, who has operated out of the vineyard since the 1960s. Mondavi’s winery was one of the first in Napa Valley to offer tours and wine-tasting sessions. Today, the exquisite old-world charm of this winery makes for the perfect place to sample a fine Cabernet Sauvignon paired with chocolate, cheese, or charcuterie. Mondavi’s winery is also a popular events space, hosting performances from well-known acts.
