How to Enjoy the St. Helena Food & Wine Tour

Delightful Napa Valley Wines and Locally Sourced Cuisine Make the St. Helena Food & Wine Tour a Dream. Here’s Everything You Need to Know Before You Go

What Is The St. Helena Food & Wine Tour?

This three and a half hour walking tour takes guests through St. Helena’s beautiful streets to some of northern California’s most acclaimed wineries, bakeries, and chocolatiers. The small-town charm combined with the unfettered culinary prowess of St. Helena’s local establishments earned this tour a spot among the 15 Best Foodie Tours in the USA according to US News. Each of the six stops will provide historical insights and, of course, incredible food and wine tastings.

Where Do We Go?

St. Helena is located due west of Sacramento, right in the heart of wine country. The tour begins with brunch at Clif Winery, where guests will learn about the origins of the Clif Bar and Clif Winery history while enjoying artisanally crafted fare and brilliant wines.
From there, guests will meander to Goose & Gander, the chic, rustic pub where mushroom soup is the most sought-after item on the menu. Their signature cocktails and extensive wine selections are enjoyed in their basement bar or (weather permitting) out on the patio.
Afterward, stop by Model Bakery, the nearly 112-year-old bakery that is serving up English muffins tasty enough to earn an endorsement from Oprah Winfrey.
Next up: Olivier’s. This French-inspired boutique is the perfect place to pick up finely crafted olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and handmade caramels.
Then, guests will be guided to Archetype, the strikingly styled farm-to-table restaurant that caters to everyone’s dietary sensitivities. Their menus reflect fresh, local ingredients that speak to Napa Valley’s native cuisine.
The final stop is perfect for guests with a sweet tooth. Woodhouse Chocolate’s decadent creations are a St. Helena staple that you don’t want to miss.

When Is It?

The St. Helena Food & Wine Tour is held on Sundays throughout the spring, so you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy the region’s finest dining and drinking options. Each week, the tour begins at 10:20 a.m. and it lasts until approximately 2 p.m.

How Do I Attend?

Tickets are available online for pre-purchase and include two options for guests: $175 grants guests all-inclusive access to food and drinks served during the tour, while tickets for the food-only excursion are available for $125.
